Where are we spending our holidays? Places Spanish, Turkish and Polish people are choosing as a travel destinations
Through the past years polish travelers mostly have been looking for sunny destinations. Recent tourism data shows that Turkey remains the most popular choice for Polish holidaymakers using package travel, attracting roughly a third of bookings, with Greece and Egypt following in the top three. Beyond these leaders, destinations such as Tunisia, Spain and Bulgaria also feature among Poles’ preferred options. Meanwhile tourism statistics for Spain reveal that 2.4 million Poles visited the country in 2024, spending billions of euros and helping to record visitor numbers.
Spain continues to break records as a global holiday destination, with nearly 95 million international visitors reported in 2024 and strong visitors numbers in 2025 also. This broad appeal is reflected not only in inbound travel from places like Poland, Germany and the United Kingdom, but also in Spanish outbound travel habits. Closeness and cultural richness make nearby Morocco a leading choice for Spaniards who choose to travel outside the Europe, while Spain’s neighbours such as France and Italy prefer common city-break and short-trip options.
The international mobility around Turkish travelers is increasing during past few years. According to Turkish Statistical Institute data, nearly 11.4 million Turkish citizens travelled abroad in 2024 — a historical high that continues into 2025 — demonstrating growth in outbound travel as well as Turkey’s long-established role as a key tourism centre. Preferred destinations can vary, from nearby Balkan and Mediterranean countries to Central and Western Europe, with Greece and Egypt which are attractive for beach and cultural holidays.
Across all three nationalities, preferences meet between a mix of familiar and experiential travel. Traditional sun, sea and beach markets are the most popular, but there’s clear appetite for cultural city breaks, off-season travel and experiences beyond crowded hotspots. European destinations with strong cultural heritage or diverse landscapes are gaining popularity, while distance, price and flight availability remain key factors influencing travel choices among people from Poland, Spain and Turkey.
