€5.2 Billion for Skills: Erasmus+ 2026 Funding

In November 2025 the European Commission has announced that the Erasmus+ 2026 funding will make €5.2 billion available to support education, training, youth and sport projects across Europe and beyond. The new call focuses on developing most important future skills, while strengthening international cooperation and learning mobility.

A key new element in 2026 is the introduction of European Partnerships for School Development. These partnerships is supposed to improve teaching methods, strengthen basic skills, and encourage democratic values and active participation in society. The programme also continues to focus on inclusion, making education more accessible for people with fewer opportunities, and keeps supporting Ukrainian students affected by the war.

The Erasmus+ programme enables schools, universities, youth organisations, and training
providers to help Europeans develop the skills needed for a fast-changing job market and a
more sustainable, resilient future.
